Our story
About Slovenia Cars: started after one airport surprise too many
Slovenia Cars began after watching travelers land at Ljubljana Airport, queue for a rental counter, and get quoted double what they’d seen online, insurance upsells, one-way fees, and mystery deposits included. We started comparing supplier rates properly, then kept going: writing the road trip itineraries, the driving rules, the parking tips that make the difference between a stressful arrival and a great one.
Today we publish the comparison, the supplier checks and the routes we have driven ourselves, so the research is done before you land.

About Slovenia Cars: how we choose what to list
How we pick suppliers
Every supplier we surface has to price transparently before checkout, state its excess and deposit clearly, and meet Slovenian winter equipment law between November and March. Anything that fails one of those tests does not appear.
Why the guides come first
About Slovenia Cars, the simplest explanation is that we started with the driving and added the comparison afterwards. The routes on this site were mapped by car before a single price was listed.
